GWAR are thrash metal’s answer to the more mainstream satire of Spinal Tap. Gory, sexually perverse, and scatological in the extreme, GWAR were formed as an experiment in marketing strategy by several musicians, art students, and dancers. The group claimed to consist of all-powerful interplanetary warriors, descended from aliens stranded in Antarctica and initially created from the lowest filth in the universe, who came to Earth to sexually enslave and/or slaughter the human race. Taking the rock theatrics of Kiss and Alice Cooper to depraved new levels, GWAR have been putting on one of rock’s most outrageous and offensive–not to mention creative—live shows. The group quickly established a unique identity as the members performed in bizarre costumes made of latex and papier-mâché, while the stage show itself featured fake pagan rituals and corpses spewing washable bodily fluids on the audience. GWAR are perhaps best appreciated for their visual aspects, which have historically been far more creative than the actual music; indeed, the group received a somewhat stunning Grammy nomination in 1993 for its long-form home video Phallus in Wonderland.
Reverend Horton Heat – Horton’s Holiday Hayride w/ Junior Brown, The Blasters & Big Sandy
The Reverend Horton Heat is perhaps the most popular psychobilly artist of all time. The Reverend (as both the three-man band and its guitar-playing frontman were known) built a strong cult following through constant touring, manic showmanship, and a twisted sense of humor. The latter was nothing new in the world of psychobilly, of course, and Heat’s music certainly kept the trashy aesthetic of his spiritual forebears. The Reverend’s true innovation was updating the psychobilly sound for the alternative rock era. In his hands, it was something more than retro-obsessed kitsch — it had roaring distorted guitars, it rocked as hard as any punk band, and it didn’t look exclusively to pop culture of the past for its style or subject matter. Most of The Reverend’s lyrics were gonzo celebrations of sex, drugs, booze, and cars, and true to his name, his concerts often featured mock sermons in the style of a rural revivalist preacher.
Dirty Heads w/ The Unlikely Candidates & Tyrone’s Jacket
After two decades spent chiseling their unique, multi-genre infused sound, Dirty Heads have finally come into their own. Following in the footsteps of their California brothers Sublime, Huntington Beach’s Dirty Heads mix hip-hop, reggae, and rock along with that laid-back South Cali attitude. Since the release of their 2008 debut Any Port in a Storm, the five-piece band—Jared Watson (vocals), Dustin “Duddy B” Bushnell (vocals/guitar), Jon Olazabal (percussion), Matt Ochoa (drums) and David Foral (bass)—has consistently experimented with their sunny style, leaning heavily on reggae fused with hip-hop cornerstones and scaling back for more acoustic fare, darting between extremes.

Kamelot
with Delain & Battle Beast
Doors: 7:30PM
Kamelot’s release of their debut Eternity was praised by the music media as one of most promising debuts of all time. They went on to create many other albums all with striking results. Kamelot’s video “The Haunting” and “March of Mephisto” became huge hits on YouTube and prompted the band to launch their own YouTube channel, aptly titled KamTV. KamTV’s initial launch hurled the band into YouTube’s top 10 music channels and #1 Metal Channel, transcending all genres. Subsequently, Kamelot presented themselves more sinister and soulful on Ghost Opera and Poetry For The Poisoned, but have now returned to the melodic aspects of their multi-layered sound with the album, Silverthorn. The album, went directly to the top, debuting at the #1 position on Amazon’s Heavy Metal Chart! Along with this amazing accomplishment, Kamelot also impacted major charts in other categories including the #9 position on Billboard’s Hard Rock Chart, #24 on the Rock Charts, #79 on Billboard’s Top 200 Chart, as well as appearing on multiple international charts.

Multi Grammy award winning artist Shaggy is by all accounts the true definition of a renaissance man, besides his continuing success in reggae/dancehall music and it’s influence on pop music worldwide, Shaggy is fierce businessman, and humble philanthropist. The premiere reggae fusion label, headquartered in New York and Jamaica, was formed with the premise to develop and facilitate innovative approaches for up and coming artists to excel in the current market and provide established artists with opportunities outside their usual channels. The label was received to much fanfare which translated in a Sony/Brooklyn Knights/Ranch Entertainment deal. The unprecedented union still allowed Shaggy to have creative say in the production of his music, yet have a powerhouse supporting his music and brand.
Shaggy illustrious career has seen the international superstar perform alongside some of the biggest names in all genres of music, notably he recently collaborated with his longtime friend and producer Costi, as Shaggy joined Afro Pop artist Mohombi and Australian singer Faydee on the recently released vibrant and catchy single, “I Need Your Love.” The success of the single was eminent, and Shaggy traveled to Spain’s Castellon Coast to film the blockbuster video, capturing the international flavor of the song. To date the video has garnered over 30 million views.
His accolades are too many to count, but distinctly his appearance on the long running late night talk show “Tonight Show” for a “Shaggy Off” tops the list of Shaggy’s career highlights. He has defied the odds, succeeded on his own terms and continues to break down barriers for those who dare to follow in his footsteps.
ISSUES – Headspace Tour w/ Volumes, Too Close to Touch & Sylar
Issues are an Atlanta, Georgia metalcore band formed in 2012 and was quickly
signed to Rise Records imprint Velocity just a few months after formation. Issues'
first EP, Black Diamonds, arrived at the tail end of 2012. A genre-blurring mix of
metalcore, R&B-tinged pop, and Linkin Park-esque nu-metal DJ breaks, their self-
titled first album Issues debuted in the Top Ten of the Billboard 100. An acoustic
EP, Diamond Dreams, was released later that year, featuring their 2013 stand-alone
single, "Hooligans." Issues returned to the studio to record their sophomore LP,
Headspace, which they are touring in support of.
The Marcus Kind Band with special guest Bobby Lee Rdogers
Songwriter. Guitarist. Singer. Bandleader. At only 20 years of age, Marcus King’s dazzling musical
ability is evident throughout The Marcus King Band. Operating within the fiery brand of American
roots music that King calls "soul-influenced psychedelic southern rock," it highlights King’s gorgeous,
rough-hewn vocals, soaring guitar work and heartfelt songwriting all amidst a group of masterful
musicians who, together, are quickly becoming one of the country’s most sought after live acts. Raised in
Greenville, South Carolina, King was brought up on the blues, playing shows as a pre-teen sideman with
his father. Going beyond the sonic textures of his acclaimed 2015 debut; The Marcus King Band
broadens his sound, touching upon everything from funky R&B to Southern soul and Americana in the
process. His band gets in on the action too, stacking the songs with blasts of swampy brass, a lock-step
rhythm section and swirling organ. Ever the multi-tasker, King bounces between several instruments,
handling electric and acoustic guitar — as well as pedal and lap steel — while driving each track home
with his soulful, incendiary voice.
