moe.

moe. is the preeminent progressive rock band on the music scene today—a quintet of world class musicians, whose creative output equals that of their longevity. In a remarkable career that has touched three decades and produced a discography of 24 albums, the Sugar Hill Records recording artist of Al Schnier and Chuck Garvey on guitars and vocals, Rob Derhak on bass and vocals, Jim Loughlin on percussion and vibes, and Vinnie Amico on drums, continue to push the standard for performance art higher and further.

Whether touring around the globe, headlining music festivals, or sharing the stage with such diverse acts as the Allman Brothers, Dave Matthews Band, The Who, Robert Plant, Government Mule, or Blues Traveler, among many others, what keeps moe. at the forefront of the music scene is not only the energy and vitality of their music and songwriting, but the showmanship in which it is delivered. Their music is clever, melodic, refined, filled with “ferocious guitar riffs” and “intricate rhythms” (Relix); their performances are entertaining, mesmerizing, and epic.

From their humble, inconspicuous beginnings as a local bar band in Buffalo, NY, to headlining Radio City Music Hall on New Year’s Eve, moe.’s journey has been one of hard work, perseverance, and dedication. Critical acclaim and a solid national and international fan base has resulted in a dedicated following that grows each year. Rolling Stone magazine named Chuck and Al among the top twenty new “guitar gods,” The pair have been featured in Guitar World and Modern Guitar, Jim and Vinnie in Drum!, and Rob in Bass Player. The renowned guitar play between Al and Chuck has become the stuff of legend. The exceptional vibe and percussion work by Jim is brilliant. The understated bass play by Rob is masterful. The seamless, efficiency of Vinnie’s drumming is extraordinary. Together, the five create a musical synergy greater than the sum of their parts.

The news about moe. keeps getting better, too, in the studio and on tour. A new album, their second on Sugar Hill Records, is set for a 2014 release. It follows the critically acclaimed 2012 release, What Happened To The LA LAs, and the 2010 Smash Hits, Volume One—a rerecording of some of moe.’s most endearing classics. The band’s tour schedule is extensive, playing in venues, intimate and grand, from NYC to LA, San Fran to Atlanta, Chi Town to Bean Town, from Tokyo to Toronto, and across the Atlantic to Paris, Amsterdam, London, Hamburg, and Milano. Long a featured act at music festivals, they’ve performed and headlined at the likes of Bonnaroo, All Good, and High Sierra, in the US, and Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, and Burg Herzberg in Germany, to name a few; yet made time to promote and perform at their own festivals—Summer Camp, Snoe.down, and moe.down.

By all accounts, for this “legendary jam band,” as Rolling Stone described them, moe. represents rock and roll at its best. Welcome news for the moe. faithful and the band’s ever-expanding fan base. Even better news for the world of rock and roll, for moe. is just hitting their creative stride.

POP EVIL

Melodic post-grunge outfit Pop Evil formed in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The band developed a sound and performance style that took cues from the likes of Kiss, Soundgarden, and Pearl Jam that aptly put them right in line with popular modern rock acts such as Crossfade, Shinedown, and Puddle of Mudd. The band released its debut independent album, War of the Roses before signing with Universal/Republic imprint Pazzo, who reissued their sophomore LP Lipstick on the Mirror. The album featured three singles that hit Billboard’s Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, including the Top Ten “100 in a 55.” The band enjoyed greater success with the E1 label, beginning with War of Angels and Onyx, both of which peaked around number 40 on the Billboard 200. Up, their fifth album was considered to be their best release yet.

Say Anything & Bayside

Bayside is an American rock band from New York City which quickly developed a following with their melodic, moody, guitar-driven emo. Currently consisting of lead vocalist/guitarist Anthony Raneri, lead guitarist Jack O’Shea, bassist Nick Ghanbarian, and drummer Chris Guglielmo and since their formation, the group has released seven full-length albums. Their debut, Sirens and Condolences, in 2004, and the release of 2005’s self titled follow-up, Bayside, launched the band into mainstream success. The band released four more albums: The Walking Wounded (2007), Shudder (2008), Killing Time (2011), and Cult (2014), which peaked at #24 on the US Billboard charts. The group’s latest full-length album, Vacancy, was released on August 19, 2016. Produced by Tony-nominated Tim O’Heir, he helped the band branch out from the pop format to explore their “dramatic, whimsical side,” with positive reviews.

Over the years of Say Anything, lead vocalist and guitarist Max Bemis has become both a devout and mythic character in the alt-rock scene. He’s always strived to find a balance between truth and fantasy. Though, when he starts to lean too far to one side, the band’s ethos always brings him back to center: Do better. Be better. Or at least have the hope that better exists for you. “It’s a cycle of rebirth, renewal and destruction,” Max says about his life, musically and personally. “I do believe in hope and I do believe, at the core of everything, there’s a truth and a hope to our existence.”

Simple Plan | No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls 15th Anniversary Tour

Simple Plan is one of Canada’s most successful punk-pop acts, featuring a lineup comprised of former high school pals Pierre Bouvier (vocals), Jeff Stinco (guitar), David Desrosiers (bass), Sebastien Lefebvre (guitar), and Chuck Comeau (drums). The band quickly hit the road and joined the annual Vans Warped Tour. By this point, Simple Plan had carved out a spunky, energetic punk sound, textured like Cheap Trick but raw like Pennywise. Soon Simple Plan headed into the studio to capture the sound on tape. Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden and Mark Hoppus of blink-182 joined Simple Plan during those sessions, and the end result was the fiery, fun No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls, which was released on Lava Records. The group took home a MuchMusic Video Award for People’s Choice Favorite Canadian Group and the album became a genuine success, selling over four million copies worldwide while going double-platinum in Canada and America.

City and Colour – USA Tour 2017

For someone like City and Colour’s Dallas Green, it’s hard to imagine that there’s much left to search for – he’s traversed the globe on tour, released numerous albums (one most recently as You+Me with Alecia Moore, aka P!nk) and collected scores of accolades. Though Green is a musician, he doesn’t make a show of things: that’s the songs’ job. Thus he’s done this all quietly, intentionally, still looking for the next answer or dog-eared chapter each record holds. And now he once again uncovered something new: a certain kind of family in his bandmates. Even more pivotal was trying to capture the essence of their live show symbiosis in the studio; which comes through with an undeniable force. For a project that was very much about the inner world of Green, these relationships have morphed City and Colour into something with more emotive power than ever before: the layers go beyond just music and lyrics, into the people creating the songs themselves.

City and Colour have released two new songs, “Peaceful Road” and “Rain”. The two never-before released tracks were cut in Nashville during recording sessions for his #1 album, If I Should Go Before You. The Peaceful Road/Rain EP is available via Dine Alone Records and is currently on Apple Music.

Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness

Tickets go on sale Wednesday December 14, 2017 at 12pm

Andrew McMahon has had a winding road to this artfully balanced life. This is a man who was diagnosed with cancer at 22 years old, on the cusp of releasing his debut album (as Jack’s Mannequin). Who wed Kelly the following year and then took on an arduous schedule of touring and album releases. Who was nominated for an Emmy Award for his song “I Heard Your Voice in a Dream” on NBC’s Smash. Who sold nearly 2 million albums in a little more than a decade. Who, for much of that time, was struggling underneath the weight of it all. Despite these outward signs of success – beating cancer, getting married, an Emmy nom – McMahon says the road to recovery was “a rollercoaster ride” that took the better part of a decade. His latest effort In the Wilderness was huge success and his next album Zombies On Broadway is due out mid-February.

Dashboard Confessional

Singer/songwriter Christopher Carrabba became the poster boy for a new generation of emo fans in the early 2000s, having left behind his former band (the post-hardcore Christian outfit Further Seems Forever) to concentrate on vulnerable, introspective solo musings. Armed with an acoustic guitar and soul-baring song lyrics, he christened his new project Dashboard Confessional — named after a lyric in “The Sharp Hint of New Tears” — and began releasing material. With The Place You Have Come to Fear the Most, Dashboard Confessional had evolved into a full-fledged band, but Carrabba nevertheless remained the focal point of both the group and the rejuvenated emo genre. Carrabba explored both sides of his personality — the acoustic, campfire-worthy songwriter and the full-band frontman — with 2009’s Alter the Ending, which featured songs from both camps and even included a second disc comprised of stripped-down performances of the track list. After a string of six Dashboard Confessional albums in nine years, including three gold records, Chris Carrabba, who is excited for his first new album since 2009

We The Kings

We The Kings is Hunter Thomsen (guitar), Coley O’Toole (auxiliary/background vocals), Travis Clark (guitar/vocals), Danny Duncan (drums) & Charles Trippy (bass). The band currently resides in sunny Bradenton, FL. Four album releases include Self Titled (2007), Smile Kid (2010), Sunshine State Of Mind (2011) and Somewhere Somehow (2013).

Mayday Parade, A Lesson in Romantics 10th Anniversary Tour

Since forming in 2005, Mayday Parade have amassed one of the most loyal, rabid fan bases around thanks to energizing concerts and studio albums full of heart-on-sleeve lyrics slashing guitars and throat-shredding vocals. The sonic evolution was a natural progression for Mayday Parade, which is comprised of childhood friends who cut their teeth in the Tallahassee, Florida, music scene. The group famously self-released 2006’s Tales Told by Dead Friends EP and followed Warped Tour around selling the CD to kids waiting in line—which eventually led to a record deal and several official stints performing on Warped Tour, as well as tours with bands ranging from the Pierce The Veil, to All Time Low and PVRIS. They have just re-released an Anniversary edition of Tales Told By Dead Friends, which has been totally remixed with a remastered audio and includes a bonus track.
